RPM Diesel Engine Company was founded in 1956. In 1960 Joseph (Joe) Rubano joined RPM Diesel. For the past 55 years has been a South Florida leader in diesel sales, parts and service. RPM opened its doors with only three employees and now boasts a staff of over fifty, including twenty factory trained, master craftsmen providing 24 hour, quality service locally and throughout the world. By providing his employees with the best possible working conditions, on-going training and benefits Mr. Rubano has been able to attract and retain some of the best technicians in the field with an average service of 26 years.
RPM is the authorized dealer for many manufacturers including Detroit Diesel, MTU, Northern Lights, Kohler, and Westerbeke.
RPM is one of the largest parts suppliers in the country, stocking more than 68,000 part numbers; the company is a renowned supplier of Detroit Diesel 2 cycle parts world wide.
Mr. Rubano acquired Diesel Services of America (DSOA) , now one of the largest marine diesel sales and service companies in South Florida. Simply put, Joe once again put his Midas touch on this company and instilled his belief that no job is to big or too small.
DSOA is an authorized dealer for MAN, Volvo Penta, Perkins, John Deere, Cummins Onan, Kohler, Northern Lights, Westerbeke and Phasor.
Mr. Rubano, now Chairman of the Board, still has a hand in the day to day operations of the business. His philosophy of always placing the “customer first” has brought him thousands of loyal and valued clients throughout the years. RPM’s commitment to prompt, professional, onsite service has earned the company many awards and recognition within the Marine Industry.
The company is most proud of their recent Kohler Captain’s Award, 2010 Sales and Service, Dealer of the Year.
